3 Great Places To Visit In The UK

We’re lucky that the UK is full of places to visit and amazing things to see. Chums recently looked into where older people like to take road trips to within the UK – and there are some fantastic tourist places on the list. Here is a look at 3 great places to visit in the UK.

Loch Lomond Faerie Trail

Loch Lomond is renowned for being one of the most beautiful villages in Scotland. Its Faerie trail is not to be missed, a well-thought-out walk that shows imagination and intregues at each twist and turn. The route is jewelled with beautiful wooden carvings, leading the way to quaint fairie houses and a fairie school. If you have never seen a Troll Rehabilitation Centre, Loch Lomonds Faerie Trail is sure to put a smile on your face. It’s a great walk for families at around an hour and a half, but obviously prams and buggies are not ideal. Chums looked into the average cost of a hotel here and it’s just £81!

Exmoor National Park

Exmoor National Park is the beautifully rolling open moorland that spans parts of Somerset and Devon, it takes its name from the Exe, a vibrant river that passes near the picturesque area of Simonsbath. Nestling In Ashcombe, the village is home to a picturesque, historically unfinished garden with a peaceful walk taking you to Wheal Eliza a disused 19th century Iron and Copper mine. Once an area of industrial activity in the past, the beauty of nature reclaiming its own is a warming contrast to a city location like Exeter.
