Having happy customers The key to happy customers business has always been happy customers, customers who will promote the business to their friends and colleagues. Ensuring your business has happy customers has as much to do with their customer service skills as it does with the accurate supply of the goods or services. This is the same for established businesses and new ventures alike. Customer service will always be a key indicator of the standing of the business against its competitors.
Keeping Your Customers Happy
Modern business is all about accurate fulfilment of the customer’s wishes, this starts with great communication. The advantages brought by excellent customer service are key even before an initial purchase has been made. Utilising the skills of the industry to listen to and understand your customer’s wishes ensures any business has the information needed to supply the customer’s needs. Whilst no business will strive to create unhappy customers (well, unless you work for Karens Diner!) that often isn’t enough, instead to ensure the success of your business it is important to look at how you can actively work towards creating happy customers. CallCare recently looked at UK airlines and what they were going to help with customer satisfaction – and just how happy potential holidaymakers are.
Creating a Positive Experience
These days it is really easy to seek out a company online and read up about their negative reviews – customers are really quick to share stories of unhappiness and the likes of social media makes that really easy. As a business, if you have happy customers that it can be a great idea to encourage them to share their experience online too – because sharing positive experiences isn’t something that many customers think about doing automatically. By encouraging people to share their happy experiences you ensure that new potential customers get to read a mixture of reviews which is better than just negative words online about your brand.
Being Contactable
One thing that CallCare looked at was how easy companies were to contact – and how quickly customers got a response. We all know that the world of online contact options means that we expect answers much more quickly and often, we prefer to email rather than call. However, it looks like Airlines haven’t really caught up with this and many don’t yet offer an email option as a way to get in touch.

For many, contacting a company via social media is the preference but if the airline industry is anything to go by; the uptake of this by companies is still very much a mixed bag.

What would you say is the key to happy customers?
